At FTS Auto Repair, we offer a wide range of clutches at competitive market prices.

We believe that clutch is a vital component of the vehicle. It allows you to disengage the wheels from the engine to change gear and experience better control over the speed of your car.

Every driver must realise that the clutch is an excellent way to get the power back to a vehicle. A clutch, in good working condition, helps to transmit power from engine to the drivetrain, protects the drivetrain from engine jerks, and delivers the power to wheels via gearbox without stopping at gear change. A clutch must not be underestimated as it ensures smooth transmission of power while offering a safe drive. Bearing this in mind, our skilled technicians offer the most reliable and efficient clutch repair and maintenance services. So, anytime you hear strange noises or feel a difference in the pedal, visit our service centre in Gosport for a quick car service.

The modern clutch consists of four main parts – the cover plate, the pressure plate, the driven plate, and the release bearing. The cover plate is bolted to the flywheel, and the pressure plate exerts pressure on the driven plate via the diaphragm spring or coil springs (on earlier cars). Its driven plate runs on a shaft between the flywheel and the pressure plate. The plate is faced with a friction material (on each side). This material grips the pressure plate and flywheel when it is fully engaged. It can slip by a controlled amount when the clutch pedal is partially depressed and allows the drive to be smooth.

We offer the best service for modern clutches of today, at competitive prices for vehicles of every make and model. Our trained mechanics will run diagnostics to ensure the clutch of your vehicle performs in its best capacity. If not, we will get it fixed in no time, so you are off to your destination.
